Hanayama News Puzzle
The object of the Hanayama "News" is to separate (disassemble) the two cast metal parts labeled N - S and E - W (N E W S). This famous Hanayama puzzle was created by Nob Yoshigahara (1936 - 2004) when he was 19 years old, apparently while walking home in the snow one day. The cast metal puzzle NEWS is one of the most difficult of the Hanayama puzzles to solve but once you know the secret solution, the puzzle is easy to memorize and reproduce.
